Obtaining a Remote Pilot Certificate:
If you want to fly your drone commercially in the United States, you need to obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
To be eligible for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate, you must be at least 16 years old, be able to read, speak, write, and understand English, and pass the FAA's aeronautical knowledge test.
The aeronautical knowledge test covers various topics such as airspace classification, operating requirements, weather effects, and emergency procedures. You can prepare for the test by studying the FAA's Remote Pilot Study Guide.
Once you have passed the aeronautical knowledge test, you can apply for your Remote Pilot Certificate through the FAA's Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) system.
Renewal and Recurrent Training:
Keep in mind that your Remote Pilot Certificate must be renewed every two years by passing a recurrent knowledge test. Stay updated with the latest regulations and best practices through recurrent training.
